North Pack - Wapack National Wildlife Refuge

The Wapack National Wildlife Refuge was established in 1972. It is comprised of 1672 acres of timbered uplands surrounding North Pack Monadnock. The refuge is  managed as a wilderness area suitable for hiking, snowshoeing, cross-country skiing, and wildlife observation. Hunting, trapping, camping, and motor vehicles prohibited. Popular bird watching area. Cliff and bare ledge habitats.
